From the 2012 Texas Republican Platform: "We oppose the teaching of Higher Order Thinking Skills, critical thinking skills and similar programs that ... have the purpose of challenging the student’s fixed beliefs and undermining parental authority."
There you have it. The GOP has officially opposed thinking.
Anyone who follows the modern Republican Party know that this has been their de facto position for some time. This simply puts it in writing and extends it to their children.
You can't make this stuff up.
